A study was conducted during the spring-summer seasons of 2000/01 at Hisar, Haryana, India to investigate the effects of different levels of irrigation (0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 PEC) and nitrogen (25.0, 37.5, 50.0 and 62.5 kg/ha) on round gourd [Citrullus lanatus var. fistulosus] cv. HT-10. Increasing levels of irrigation and nitrogen increased the yield and water use efficiency of round gourd. Both parameters were optimum under an irrigation level of 0.6 or 0.8 PEC and nitrogen level of 50 kg/ha.
