Boron movement was measured in 50cm soil columns leached under saturated conditions, and compared with rates computed from the variation in pore water velocities and the concentration of B observed at different depths. Boron concentration distribution varied in the soil profile, and this was especially noticeable among the leaching treatments. The reason for high transport of boron in the first leaching, and relatively steady decrease in later leaching treatments, might be due to initial leaching containing the most soluble boron.
