Abstract:

The article focuses on the effort of the Yucaipa Valley Water District (YVWD) in California to adopt a water banking strategy. It is a way of coping with the drought and uncertainties that involve water deliveries from the Sacramento Delta. The strategy was one of the long-term conservation policies approved by the district board of directors. Joseph Zoba, YVWD's general manager, stated that they think water banking is a wise move.
