Canola’s drought hardiness brightens outlook

Hunter, Okla.. – Against a panorama of winter wheat stressed by a lengthening drought, fields of canola are offering a bright spot — literally — on the spring landscape. The striking yellow fields were in full bloom recently as officials from Oklahoma State University held a series of plot tours at 15 locations across Western Oklahoma to talk about variety selection, pest control, harvesting and marketing.
