Colorado drought dries up harvest yields

Local farmers are being forced to scale back on their harvests this year as they face a shortage of irrigation water. The hot and dry conditions this summer have cut significantly into production levels at several fields in Adams County, which is home to nearly 500,000 acres of farmland. Some farmers say this year’s drought is among the worst they’ve seen.
