BREWSTER — In a day and age when water is as precious as gold, it is hard to preserve it for everyone. But that is what Joe Lippis has attempted to do everyday for the more than 40 years with the Fremont County Ditch Company. The company is a farmer shareholder irrigation company owning water rights adjudicated back to 1862.
Born June 22, 1946, in the house Lippis grew up in, he attended first through eighth grades in Brewster and transferred to Florence High School, where he graduated in 1964.
