Every farmer utters the word “God send” or “blessing” when describing the plethora of moisture received this month, but “setback” and even “scary” also offer accurate descriptions, they say. Kept out of their muddy fields nearly all month, area farmers are now behind schedule this year on spring planting more than any other year they can remember.
