Colorado’s corn producers will likely plant between 100,000 and 200,000 fewer acres as a result of ongoing drought conditions and the financial impact on farmers could grow worse as the summer goes on, said Reagan Waskom, the director of the Colorado Water Institute at Colorado State University.
