Drought relief limited by federal budget

Agricultural producers have talked about the current drought as among the worst – comparing it to the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. Growers are familiar with droughts, of course, but this one is unique in some ways, having come as a kind of “flash drought,” the opposite of a flash flood, said John Berge, acting deputy administrator for Farm Service Agency field operations.
