Dry weather hurting Morgan County dryland crops

Morgan County’s irrigated crops are doing well right now, but dryland crops like wheat are beginning to suffer. While the crops need the heat units that they have had recently, winds and very hot temperatures have tended to dry up soil, and it does not have a lot of subsoil moisture to give to plants, said Morgan County Extension Agent Marlin Eisenach.
