Water, our most precious resource, is essential for survival of agriculture and municipalities in the Arkansas River basin of Colorado. People in agriculture manage about 80 percent of the water that flows
down the river. Some people say that agriculture uses that 80 percent, but the products of the land — alfalfa, cantaloupes, corn, vegetables and other crops — are used by all the people.
