“Average” has been the word of choice for most Greeley area farmers in summing up their crop production in 2012. The crops include corn, sugar beets, onions, dry beans or carrots. Although the weather was hot and dry and historically low snowpack limited summer irrigation, many producers put in long hours, updated their irrigation systems and were able to stretch their water enough to grow a decent crop.
