Irrigated agriculture faces threat from drought

Fort Collins water restrictions that began Monday apply primarily to green space and grass, and residents are still allowed to water trees and gardens as needed to keep them growing and healthy. The same cannot be said for Colorado’s farmers, who are currently sorting through their expected water delivery and making decisions about what to plant and how much risk they are willing to take.
