Nebraska Agriculture Water Management Network honored for innovation

The U.S. Dept of Ag’s NIFA has honored the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Nebraska Agriculture Water Management Network with an Innovative Programs & Partnership Award for its groundbreaking water-management work & contributions in advancing agricultural science. The UNL Extension-based network, launched in 2005, is made up of farmers, natural resources districts, crop consultants, irrigation districts & USDA conservation officials. The group creates & implements effective water-conservation strategies & tools on roughly 1.7 million irrigated acres of farmland in NE.
