‘River Friendly’ Farmers Recognized For Conservation

For 25 years, Howard Conner has used no-till practices on his 500-acre corn & soybean farm in IN to reduce erosion & improve soil health. He also maintains a small woodland & has put in 6 grassed waterways on his property. Conner was 1 of 59 farmers to be recognized as a River Friendly Farmer this year. The award presented annually by the Indiana Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts recognizes producers whose farm practices protect IN’s soil & water resources.
