This latest spring snowstorm continues to improve the fortunes of Northern Colorado farmers who can now plant more valuable —but thirsty — crops. Farmers were facing a dry year as of April 1, but a series of spring storms has dramatically altered the Fort Collins-area landscape, soaking fields and helping to fill reservoirs. According to preliminary data, the statewide snowpack contains the equivalent of about 14 inches of water.
