Pakistan’s available water has dropped significantly since 1992 and is expected to be only half that amount in 2020 creating a “water scarce” environment. The rains are monsoonal arriving in certain months leaving the remainder of the year dry. As a result of lack of sufficient water-holding facilities, the country needs to use every method available to capture and store water.
