Nebraska’s new state water task force will meet for the first time this Friday in Lincoln. The 34-member task force will begin developing recommendations to make Nebraska’s water supply more sustainable for farmers, ranchers, cities, wildlife and recreational users. The chair of the task force, state senator Tom Carlson of Holdrege says this attempt to address water challenges will be different from past efforts.
