Water vital to dairy, ag future in Morgan County

Water importance as the lifeblood of agriculture in general and dairy farming and milk processing in particular was underscored Monday in a tour hosted by the Colorado Foundation for Water Education. A diverse group of about 50 people, including Paul McDill, one of the founders of Morgan County Quality Water District; former state legislator and former state commissioner of agriculture Don Ament and former state legislator Diane Hoppe were among those viewing Quail Ridge Dairy southeast of Fort Morgan and Lepino Foods.
